“ Yesterday - this Beloved bakery was permanently closed. The best bakery in Long Beach ever. We will missed the great service, consistent high quality breads and the ambianced of this place. Its like losing a very dear friend or a beloved family member. ”
“ Farewell to a bakery that's been around for 32 years! This was my preferred place to get a fruit tart which I've pre-ordered in round or half sheet for special occasions. On their last day, I was able to order a sandwich in which they only offered chicken in different options such as roasted, with pesto, or bbq). So I had a their bbq chicken sandwich for the first and last time. Of course it was on their French bread and I enjoyed it while sitting at their tables with their yellow table clothes . It's sad to see their last days were while the whole strip mall is under construction, a chain link fence surrounding it. I wish the owners a restful retirement! ”
“ Today was their last day open . So sad to see this wonderful place close after all these years ”
“ I was looking for napoleon cake and calling around to many bakeries and this bakery had it! Yayyy... They had smaller pieces but said that they would make a whole cake on order. I also got a piece of carrot cake. Very nice personnel but unfortunately the outside was under construction as you can see on the pictures. The inside is small but cozy. ”
“ I got a cake for my dad's birthday and judging by the reviews, the fruit tart was recommended. It did not disappoint! It was $35.90 for a 10 inch fruit tart which I feel is so reasonable for what you get (chocolate plaque included). The fruit is fresh and has a lovely glaze. I recommend ordering ahead of time to secure your tart! I still think Porto's has the best tart (their buttery crust is more delicate and there is more custard), but at Babette's there's no crazy line or parking war zone to worry about. ”
